We are proud to provide an industry-leading apprenticeship scheme that trains and equips pupils for a career as a heating engineer. We work closely with local schools, colleges and selected organisations to recruit candidates ready to enter the workforce.
Local Authorities Partnerships
We also work with local authorities to recruit candidates who are looking to return to work. We partner with local authorities to recruit candidates from local areas, as well as the borough we work in.
Experienced Mentors
Apprentices work with us day-to-day and attend college on a day release basis for the duration of their studies. The course itself covers practical, functional and online work, and grants year-round access to experienced mentors.
Hands-on experience
Over the duration of their studies, the candidates are placed in varying working environments to gain hands-on experience in a number of areas of the job. Each will typically gain experience in heating installations, servicing and repairs, and ‘on-the-job’ training from Gas Safe engineers.
Individual learning programme
Apprentices also have an individual learning programme, allowing him or her to understand what they can achieve. We employ three apprentices each year and each remains with us for the duration of their apprenticeship. Of the nine apprentices we have employed at any one time, approximately 90% are retained and employed within the Company.
